Prince’s Island Park
Prince’s Island Park is an urban oasis. It is a beautiful, highly used, multi-purpose park, featuring pathways, playgrounds, picnic areas, flower gardens, a café, outdoor skating in winter and large events throughout the year. Bring your dog because, like all parks in Calgary, dogs are allowed on-leash.
The island is 20 hectares, and is accessible by three bridges to downtown Calgary, as well as a bridge on the north side connecting to Memorial Dr NW in the Crescent Heights neighbourhood. Visitors of the park will enjoy beautiful landscaping on the southern arm of the Bow River, and the eastern end which has been designated a wetlands preservation and native plant restoration area.
This park is a 10-minute walk north of Coast Calgary Downtown Hotel & Suites by APA and can be accessed using the Jaipur Pedestrian Bridge.
