Paperless Meeting Planner Rewards Program
In our efforts to reduce paper waste, Coast Hotels offers a Paperless Meeting Planner Rewards Program. Meeting planners who choose to go paperless receive a 5% bonus in reward points. This initiative encourages the adoption of eco-friendly practices during meetings and events. Going paperless means the elimination of traditional notepads and encouraging digital note-taking alternatives, reducing the need for printed materials by sharing documents digitally, moving away from flip charts and opting for digital presentations, providing meeting agendas through QR codes and eliminating the use of name tags.
Green Key Partnership
Since December of 2022, Coast Hotels became the first Hotel brand to be recognized as 100% enrolled in Green Key Global, a leading global eco-certification for hotels. This partnership underscores our commitment to sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices throughout our properties. Green Key certification ensures that our hotels meet stringent environmental standards, from energy and water conservation to waste reduction and guest education.
Energy Efficiency and Conservation
We continually invest in energy-efficient technologies and strive to reduce our energy consumption. This includes the use of LED lighting, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and the implementation of energy-saving practices to minimize our environmental impact.
Waste Reduction and Recycling
We are committed to reducing waste and increasing recycling efforts at all our locations. This includes recycling bins in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations, as well as minimizing single-use plastics wherever possible. Plus, our keycards are made from 40% recycled plastic.
Water Conservation
Water is a precious resource, and we actively work to conserve it through water-saving fixtures, efficient laundry practices and guest education about responsible water usage.
Eco-Friendly Amenities
We offer eco-friendly amenities, including toiletries and cleaning products that are gentle on the environment. We also switched to large format, refillable dispensers and containers for our in-room toiletries to help reduce the use of plastic waste. Plus, we offer ecologo-certified tork® paper products and use biodegradable cleaning products!
