Thetis Lake Regional Park

Distance from hotel: 11.1 km

Thetis Lake Regional Park was established as Canada's first nature sanctuary in 1958. The park features a beach which is perfect for family picnics and swims.

Hikers will love the scenic trails surrounding Upper and Lower Thetis lakes. For picturesque views of the lakes and surrounding hills, you can use the challenging Seymour of Scafe hills trails.

Visitors bringing dogs will be pleased to know their dogs may be off-leash all year round, except for the main picnic area beach where dogs must be on-leash from June to September. There is a dedicated dog beach in the park, and plenty of opportunity for dogs to swim around the rest of the lake.

Please note that in the summer months both the parking lots and beaches are very busy. Trails are a great alternative to accessing the park.
