Need help in finding the perfect cottage? Our beautiful island oasis is a rare gem, once lived on and loved by people who helped shape the Garden Isle’s future. While every historic plantation home is unique in design, furnishings, and layout, all of them contain fully equipped kitchens, living areas and private lanais. Each cottage is well-preserved while still retaining the charm and rustic quality of plantation homes. How do I get to the cottages from the nearest airport?
Our hotel is located about a 45-minute drive west on Kaumualiʻi Highway (Hawaii Route 50) from Lihue Airport (LIH). Get directions from the airport to Waimea Plantation Cottages.

Do the cottages have a swimming pool/hot tub?
Cool off and take a dip in our oceanfront swimming pool. However, please be aware that there is no hot tub. Visit our services and amenities page for more information.
Do the cottages have onsite parking?
Free parking is available at each guest cottage. Additionally, parking is provided around the lobby for check-in and check-out, as well as in front of the restaurant for diners. Please be aware that parking directly adjacent to the pool or on the beach is not available. To access the pool or beach, you must walk across the grassy lawn.

Kaua’i is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Thanks to the bountiful sun, sparkling rain showers and vast ocean, Kaua’i is known as the Garden Isle. No matter where you go on the island, stunning plants, flowers and birds will catch your attention.
Peaceful, quiet, tranquil, immaculate grounds are just a few words to describe this “hidden gem”. The front desk ladies were so welcoming and beautiful! This was our annual getaway alone. First time to Kauai, but hopefully not our last to Waimea Cottages! We would love to bring family and friends back with us! Thank you, Waimea, for helping us make beautiful memories.

A wonderful place to unwind.
The cottages were great. The one bedroom was the perfect size for two of us, with ocean views as promised. The resort was quiet, and the other guests were respectful of each other. It’s almost too quiet to even be a “resort” but they had all the amenities to make it one. I enjoyed the quiet and hearing birds and ocean every morning. The free-range hammocks and couples’ chairs all over the property are a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day of hiking or boating.

If you want to wake up in your own private cottage between the ocean and a mountain, you have found your heaven. The grounds are exquisitely beautiful, natural, a tropical oasis. The staff is professional and friendly. I woke up every morning and had my coffee on the large porch or walking on the ocean. Can't wait to go back!

Can’t wait to return to this wonderful island.
We had a lovely vacation in this splendidly positioned cottage. The stylish & comfy furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and other amenities made it feel like home away from home; the resort grounds are quiet and beautifully maintained, and the outside porch made for relaxing mornings and al fresco lunches. The breeze through the main room and the AC in the bedroom made it comfortable even on hot days. A very short walk to the beach, hammocks, and pool area was also a plus, and the location near Waimea Canyon and not far from Polihale Beach were a big score. Staff were happy to offer help after a speedy check in, and we had everything we needed in this well-appointed cottage. Being greeted by Prosecco and macadamia nut chocolates for our honeymoon was an added extra bonus! We have already decided that we will return to this wonderful island and look forward to future stays here.
