Cottonwood Island Nature Park

Located where the Nechako and Fraser River meet, Cottonwood Island Nature Park in Prince George is open year-round with beautiful wide trails that are dog friendly.

This amazing, quiet and peaceful regional park is very easily access from the Prince George’s town center with plenty of riverside trails to explore. There are some viewing platforms and benches that provide lovely views that overlooking the river. Visitors can enjoy walking, biking and fishing in the warmer months and cross-country skiing in the winter here. When visiting, be sure to keep your eyes open for some truly spectacular carvings in some of the park’s trees!
